June Berry
RWS Hon. RE NEAC RWA
About
June Berry's art is about life, the life of real people, and it is basically optimistic and joyful, even when contemplative.

Life transformed into art: an art based on observation of the particular, but so steeped in tone that it moves beyond the specific; figures, dogs, birds, buildings and trees become crucial notes within the overall symphony of colour, which is her true creation.

Her work - whether oils, watercolours, drawings or etchings - is unpretentious, quietly subtle, despite the often heightened colouring, as well as being gritty and tough; it is the result of rigorous training, years of self-discipline and acute observation, and it is built to last.

Pleasure for us today, and a visual heritage for future generations.
